Tehya is now officially a Big girl - no dummy!!!

For a month or so before her birthday we explained that the dummy fairies (cousins of the tooth fairies) visit kids the night after their birthdays and exchange the dummy (dot in Indonesian) for a gift.

Tehya loves anything to do with fairies, angels, princesses so she was looking forward to the visit.

The night of the 10th of August she explained that she didn’t need her dummy anymore and relaxed watching a princess DVD without it. At bed time she decided that maybe it was best if she had her dummy for safe keeping, so that the fairy would be able to find it.

Not long after she fell asleep she was visited by the dummy fairy (I managed to snap a few photos - look closely at Tehya sleeping).

She woke us in the morning shouting LOOK THE FAIRIES HAVE BEEN, I’VE GOT A MAGICAL BRACELET.

To our amazement she managed the entire day without even mentioning her beloved dummy. When it came to bed time she was a little sad and wondered if she could swap her bracelet and get her dummy. After a few minutes of explaining that she was now a big kid, she managed to relax and fall asleep.

One week on and she has only mentioned it once, we are both so proud of her especially as she enjoyed it for 4 whole years!! Once she decides that she is going to do something she does it and thats that.
