Aunty Becca - Tears at the airport

kuta-becca-tehya-lastdays.jpg It was awful…. as the last few days drifted by we all felt an impending doom and sadness at the prospect of Becca leaving and flying home. The hardest part of being away from home has always been missing the people we love the most. Saying goodbye is never easy… but this had a very definite feel of sadness which made the last night a difficult one. We all got up very early to leave with her for the airport….. the hotel taxi did not arrive to collect us (as we had previously arranged)….(no point getting angry this is Indonesia after all!!!!). I waited with the bags while Gavin jumped on the motor bike with the two girls and shot off in search of a taxi. We rode in the taxi to the airport in silence with Gavin and Tehya on the moped following behind - we all had tears in our eyes. The goodbye was fast as the delay meant that Bec had to rush through to immigration and check in. It was better that way in the end…… I think we would have all been at the end of our tether’s with exhaustion and stress if she’d had to hang around.

kuta-becca-tehya-fun-lastdays.jpg It was definitely three of some of the best weeks we have had on this trip. We miss Becca millions already!!!!
We love you Aunty Becca x x x x x x x
