Our Macbook Has Fried Another Harddisk
Yet again our only form of communication has decided to die. The Macbook 2.16GHz Mid 2007 Model has killed yet again another Harddrive. I have seen many similar stories on the net about 2 or 3 harddisk having to be replaced in macbooks.
Thankfully after years of seeing customers lose all their valuable information I have been backing up at least once a week. The only problem I have now is that the original seagate hard disk that was in the machine is in Thailand. Our Mac warranty runs out on the 7th of October but we don’t fly out of Bali until the 14th.
All I can say is ANSWER YOUR PHONE JON as he has the drive stored in house. The other problem we have is that we are meant to be leaving for the Gili Islands on Wednesday the 24th of September for a couple of weeks and will have zero chance of finding a Mac Service Center there.
Other problems with the Mac that need sorting under warranty are DVD drive that only reads some disks, a mouse pad that has lost all of its slide (finger sticks to the pad rather than gliding) and where the lid closes down onto the case it has cracked the casing. It also gets so hot that it is almost impossible to work with it on your legs even when you rest it on a book you can feel the heat through the book.
So the moral of the story is Macbook laptops aren’t as great as everybody makes out.
Anyway it will be a few weeks until we are in touch again…..Bye!!!!!
