Our first night at the new hotel proved to be pretty bizarre as it was October the 31st and Halloween night. Oonagh stayed at the hotel and slept as she was so exhausted after her journey to see us – a late night drinking beer and then no sleep as the other hotel was so noisy.

Gavin, Becca, Tehya and I all went out for some food and the wandered up and down the road – which was not at all easy. Everybody was out on the streets dressed up in the most fantastic costumes. People had put so much effort into what they were wearing. There was music and the bars full of people in crazy fancy dress, wigs, crazy make up and outlandish clothes.

Even the children were all dressed up with face paint and costumes so we got Tehya some flashing devil horns and she got her face painted too.

The best dressed and most freaky awards go to a girl dressed up as a school girl zombie and a guy dressed as captain Jack from the film Pirates. The best show was a loud drama set to dance music with women dancers dressed as silver zombies and some other people acting out vampire death to funky beats with loads of cool dancing. It was so funny we must of spent about two hours just wandering around watching everything that was going on.

We got taken for a beer by a crazy man wearing a crazy hat and glasses – who when he took them off must have been at least 70 years old. He was obsessed with pointing out lady boys too us – even though it is plainly very obvious. Still it was pretty funny and worth buying the beer for…….

We went back to the hotel and sat in the bar for a while – Gavin and Becca started on the buckets – Tehya and I watched with lots of amusement – I did not want to join in as I was feeling a little unwell and thought I might be coming down with Gavin’s cold.

Back across the ocean in St Austell Cornwall England – it was also my dear friend Anna Moss’s birthday. Happy birthday my sweet sweet friend. We hope you liked your gift from Bali and the E card/smile box with photos that we mailed for you. Happy Happy Birthday and we love and miss you x x x x x
