Kidzworld Cornwall is an adventure play centre in St Austell, and a useful option when the weather turns or the children need somewhere to burn off energy.

What you will find inside

The soft play zone has climbing frames, four slides of different heights and three separate ballpools for all age groups. Younger children have their own Toddlers Village, a self contained area for under fours. Alongside this there is a roller skating rink, a trampoline area with eight beds, a Games Zone with around 80 interactive projected games and a Cannon Arena with foam ball guns and targets. It suits children from toddlers to young teens, and adults can join in, though under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

When to go and what to bring

Kidzworld opens up to seven days a week. In term time it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and opens Wednesday to Friday in morning and afternoon sessions. At weekends and in local school holidays it opens daily in two sessions, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. Booking online is cheaper than paying at the door. Socks are required and trousers or leggings are recommended to avoid slide burns. Outside, seasonal extras include mini karts at £2 a ride, a 12 hole mini golf course and a free outdoor play area.

Getting here and the day around it

The centre sits at Stadium Retail Park on Par Moor Road. There is ample free parking, which makes an easy stop if you are driving. Carlyon Bay is about 2 miles east of St Austell and faces St Austell Bay, so the beaches at Crinnis, Shorthorn and Polgaver are a short drive for a walk after your session.
