Marazion's identity is inseparable from St Michael's Mount. The causeway is a tidal granite path, not a permanent road. Official Mount guidance decides when pedestrians may cross and when boats operate instead.
The beach is a wide Mount's Bay strand used for walking, views and seasonal swimming. Conditions change with wind and tide; do not assume lifeguard cover unless clearly signed for that day.
