About Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens

Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens lie in a sheltered valley near Gulval, about two miles from Penzance and less than a mile from the A30, with views towards St Michael's Mount. Large scale exotic and subtropical planting is set around permanent, site specific artworks by artists including James Turrell, whose Skyspace Tewlwolow Kernow is a highlight, along with David Nash, Richard Long and Tim Shaw. The gardens are open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm, with last entry at 3.30pm, and close from early November to mid February. Tickets can be booked online; adult entry is £14.50, under 21s pay £7 and under 5s go free, with a family ticket for one adult and up to three under 21s at £24. The Tremenheere Gallery, shop, nursery and Tremenheere Kitchen restaurant are free to enter. The land rises steeply to about 70m, so most of the gardens are unsuitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and prams, though the Kitchen and Gallery are fully accessible. Children can collect an adventure map from the ticket desk, picnics are welcome (no glass) and well behaved dogs on a short lead are allowed.
