About Trebah Garden

Trebah is a subtropical valley garden near Mawnan Smith, south of Falmouth, running down to its own private beach on the Helford River. It is one of the Great Gardens of Cornwall and has been run since 1990 by the Trebah Garden Trust, a registered charity set up to preserve and recreate the garden for the public. Visitors follow paths down through the steep valley planting to the beach, then climb back up to the Visitor Centre, which holds the Trebah Kitchen cafe, a gift shop and a plant centre. The garden is open every day from 9.30am and no prebooking is needed. Parking on site is free, with accessible bays close to the entrance. Dogs are welcome. Paths suit pushchairs and mobility scooters in many places, though the valley is steep, and there are benches and resting points throughout. Facilities include a Changing Places toilet, mobility scooter hire and wheelchairs from the Visitor Centre. It suits garden lovers, families and anyone wanting a long walk with a beach at the end.
