About YHA Treyarnon Bay

YHA Treyarnon Bay is a youth hostel about 50 metres from the sand at Treyarnon Bay, four miles west of Padstow. The house was built in the 1930s as a holiday home and has been a hostel for more than 50 years, with views over the bay from the clifftop and the South West Coast Path running past the door.

Rooms and camping

The hostel sleeps 68 in 16 rooms. Most are bunk rooms, and there are private rooms too, some of them en suite. Outside there are Landpods, premium bell tents and pitches where you can bring your own tent. Groups can book, and the whole building can be hired. Parking is free once you register your car at reception.

What to expect

Guests have a self catering kitchen, a lounge and outdoor seating, plus a licensed bar. Breakfast is served from 7.30am, until 9am on weekdays and 10am at weekends, and vegetarian and special diets are catered for. WiFi is free in the social areas, but there is no mobile phone signal. Reception is open from 7.30am to 10pm, with 24 hour access once you have checked in.

Trey Bay Cafe and Bar

The hostel’s cafe and bar is open to everyone, not just guests, from 11am to 8.30pm every day.

Dogs and families

Dogs can stay on the campsite and in the bell tents, but not in the hostel rooms. There is no charge with your own tent and a fee of ten pounds per dog per night in a bell tent. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout. Highchairs and baby changing are available, and the hostel is wheelchair accessible.
