Life’s a Beach

Life's a Beach is a family run cafe, bar and restaurant directly above Summerleaze Beach in Bude, at 16 Summerleaze Crescent, and has been run by the same family since 1999. By day it is a beach cafe serving breakfasts, coffee and handmade cakes, with takeaway for eating out on the sand. Lunch and evening menus lean towards seafood and sharing: locally caught fish, beer battered fish with mushy peas or curry sauce, salt and pepper squid, chilli garlic crevettes, olive bread and dips, a coconut turmeric dhal, a flat iron steak, a spicy sausage dish and burgers, and it runs curry nights through the year. The venue is dog friendly and every part of it has a sea view, with the beach laid out below. It suits beach families during the day, dog walkers, and couples wanting an informal seafood supper with a sunset over the Atlantic.
