About The Pandora Inn (Coastal Pub)

The Pandora Inn sits at the water's edge on Restronguet Creek near Mylor Bridge, a few miles north of Falmouth, and claims a history on the site going back to 1352. Its name comes from HMS Pandora, the ship sent to hunt down the Bounty mutineers, whose captain later kept the inn. Inside are low ceilinged bars; outside, a long pontoon reaches out over the creek with tables where boats tie up alongside and the view changes with every tide. Food runs through the day: breakfast is served from nine until eleven, and the main menu from midday until nine in the evening, with seasonal dishes built around local suppliers and an emphasis on seafood. There is an upstairs restaurant with water views, which can be booked by phone, while downstairs and outdoor tables are first come first served, so arrive early on sunny days when the pontoon fills quickly. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the downstairs bar. The pub opens every day and can be reached by car, on foot or bike along the creek, or by boat using the moorings and pontoon. It suits sailors, walkers on the Mylor and Restronguet lanes and anyone wanting a classic Cornish waterside pub lunch within easy reach of Falmouth and Truro.
