About The Watermill Inn

The Watermill Inn is an 18th century watermill turned pub on Old Coach Road at Lelant Downs, between Hayle and St Ives and about a 15 minute walk from St Erth railway station. The waterwheel still turns beside the steps down into the bar, and the mechanism is on show inside. Downstairs is a single room with a drinking end, a dining end and a few sofas, serving pub food at lunchtime and in the evening, with Sharp's Doom Bar and Timothy Taylor Landlord as the regular ales. Upstairs the old mill loft has been made into a separate a la carte restaurant. Outside, a large beer garden straddles the mill stream, which makes it a popular stop on a summer afternoon. Dogs and children are both welcome, there is parking, WiFi and a real fire, and live entertainment of one kind or another is put on most Friday evenings. It opens from 4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays and from noon the rest of the week. Phone the number on this listing.
