Sancreed Holy Well sits in a small grove a few minutes’ walk from the parish church in Sancreed, west of Penzance. Stone steps lead down to a chamber where spring water collects, and coloured cloths, clouties, hang in the trees above. A few metres along the path are the low ruins of a small chapel, possibly 15th century. Find it on the signed footpath opposite the churchyard entrance. It is free to visit at any time; the steps can be slippery.
