About Siblyback Lake

Siblyback Lake is a reservoir and country park on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor near Common Moor, north of Liskeard, run by the South West Lakes Trust. It is a popular base for water sports, walking and fishing. The activity centre offers kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding, with equipment hire or the option to launch your own craft. There is a cafe overlooking the water, a small campsite at the water's edge, and miles of walks and cycle routes around the lake and onto the moor. Anglers know it as a fishery stocked with rainbow trout, with brown trout caught on a catch and release basis. The lake is a good starting point for exploring nearby moorland sights such as Golitha Falls, the Hurlers and the Cheesewring. It suits families, outdoor groups, anglers and walkers, and is a good choice for a first try at paddle sports on sheltered water.
