About St Michael’s Church, Landrake

St Michael’s Church Landrake sits in the village of Landrake in south east Cornwall, about three miles west of Saltash, and is the Grade I listed parish church known for its 100 foot tower. The earliest reference to a church here is in 1018, and the building is one of six Anglican churches in the Saltash area ministry.

What you will find

The church seats around 150 people, and there are books and toys for children at the back. If you need the toilet, there is one in the parish room building just outside the church. Disabled access is through the North door, which is the main entrance. All three paths into the graveyard have slopes but no steps, so the approach is manageable for most visitors.

Planning your visit

Parking is on the street, and parking in the village lanes is limited, so park with care around The Square and the church. Landrake sits above the tidal Lynher and Tiddy rivers, with rolling farmland around it and old quays along the water. The A38 passes through the village, so it is easy to reach by following the road west from Saltash.
