The Mexico Inn

The Mexico Inn is the village pub at Long Rock, on Riverside just back from the beach between Penzance and Marazion. It is a popular dining pub with a busy events calendar, and it caught the eye of Guardian restaurant critic Grace Dent, who praised its warm, knowledgeable service.

Food and drink

Menus change with the seasons and focus on good local produce. Early in the week there is a lighter menu of small plates and light bites, the full menu runs from Wednesday to Saturday, and Sunday is given over to a traditional roast. There is also a children’s menu.

• Monday and Tuesday: 12pm to 5pm, small plates and light bites
• Wednesday to Saturday: 12pm to 2.45pm and 5pm to 8pm, full menu
• Sunday: 12pm to 4pm, traditional roast

What’s on

Expect live music, quizzes, music bingo, comedy nights and guest pop up kitchens on some weekday evenings. Gift vouchers can be bought through the pub’s website.
