About Blue Reef Aquarium

Discover Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay

Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay sits on Towan Promenade and is open all year round, every day except Christmas Day, so you can fit a visit into any season. The aquarium is rated 4 out of 5 by visitors and makes a simple family stop in the town. A typical visit takes around an hour, which leaves time for Towan Beach just nearby if you want to extend the day.

Talks, feeds and what to see

Throughout the day there are talks and feeds to plan around. A Tropical Rivers talk and feed takes place at 11:30 am, followed by a Cuttlefish talk and feed at 1:30 pm. Then there is a Shark talk and feed at 2:30 pm and an Ocean talk and feed at 3:30 pm. You can also walk through the underwater tunnel for a close view of marine life from local waters and exotic oceans. Junior tickets cover ages 3 to 12 and under 3s go free, so it works well for young children. From Easter until September a dated day pass must be bought in advance.

Practical details for your visit

Entry is paid, with adults at £16.15 and ages 3 to 12 at £13.00. There is one accessible toilet on the first floor. Dogs are not allowed, except for registered assistance dogs. There is no car park of its own, and the nearest public car parks are St Georges Road and Manor Road, which is worth noting before you arrive.
