This is one of the best rock pooling beaches around Looe. Large, shallow pools with easy access are uncovered twice a day by the tide, and you may find starfish, crabs and prawns. The local Marine Conservation Group runs rockpool rambles through the year. A long sea wall runs along the back of the beach, which makes it easy for many visitors to enjoy.
There is free parking on the road above the beach, seasonal cafes including Hannafore Kiosk, and a putting green and tennis courts nearby.
The beach is dog friendly all year and popular with dog walkers. Check tide times before rock pooling, as the pools are only uncovered around low water.

Hannafore is the seafront at West Looe, a short walk from the harbour. Its shingle and rock beach is known for rock pools at low tide and looks straight out to Looe Island, a marine nature reserve you can visit by boat from Looe harbour. The South West Coast Path starts here and runs about five miles west to Polperro by way of Talland Bay.
