About Roughtor
Roughtor, also written Rough Tor, is a granite tor on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor, south east of Camelford. At 400 metres it is the second highest point in Cornwall. The southern slopes hold Bronze Age hut circles and cairns, and a medieval chapel to St Michael stood on the summit. Parking at the Roughtor car park is free, and the direct walk to the top is around 2km each way. The open moor has no facilities.
