St Agnes at a glance

A mining village between Beacon and Trevaunance Cove

St Agnes sits on Cornwall’s mid north coast. The village centre, chapel and shops sit inland of steep lanes that drop toward Trevaunance Cove, while St Agnes Beacon rises to the west as a landmark for the surrounding countryside.

The cliffs around Wheal Coates and the coast path are part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. Engine houses, heather slopes and Atlantic views sit a short walk from the village.

This page covers mainland St Agnes only , not St Agnes on the Isles of Scilly. Use beach and walk pages for Chapel Porth, Trevaunance Cove and longer SWCP stages when you want route detail.
