Yes, especially for coastal walking and mining history. Within a short walk of the village are Trevaunance Cove, the clifftop engine houses at Wheal Coates, Chapel Porth and the summit of St Agnes Beacon. The village itself has shops, galleries, cafes and a parish museum.

There is a car park on Trelawny Road in the village, which has disabled bays and public toilets nearby, and long stay parking at Wheal Leisure. Trevaunance Cove has two car parks less than a minute's walk from the beach. Chapel Porth and Wheal Coates have National Trust car parks, free for members and Blue Badge holders.

Yes. Dogs are allowed on Trevaunance Cove all year round. The beach is reached by steps opposite the Watch House, and there are refreshments and toilets by the road above it.

Yes. The South West Coast Path's Beacon on the Coast walk is a 6.3 mile moderate loop from St Agnes that takes in the Beacon, Chapel Porth, Wheal Coates, St Agnes Head and Trevaunance Cove. Wheal Coates is about a 30 minute walk from the village along the path network. Expect cliff paths, kissing gates and some steps.

St Agnes Beacon rises to 192 metres, or 628 feet. The summit has a topograph on a stone plinth and views over St Ives Bay to Godrevy lighthouse. The National Trust looks after the Beacon, which has Bronze Age barrows and was once used for warning fires.

Wheal Coates is a former tin mine on the cliffs above Chapel Porth, now cared for by the National Trust. Its best known building is the Towanroath engine house, built in the 1870s. A short circular tin mining walk of about a mile passes the remains, and paths are uneven and steep in places.
